We live in Modi'in, a brand new town being built near the site of ancient Modi'in home of the original Maccabees (of Chanukah fame). Modi'in is midway between Israel's capital Jerusalem and its second city Tel Aviv. The Modi'in region is also home to many other historic and other sites of interest such as the Ben Shemen Forest, the Tombs of the Maccabees and the lovely biblical nature reserve at Neot Kedumim.
This site has existed for over a decade now, during which I've received many questions about Modi'in, ranging from whether this is the town of the ancient Maccabees to whether we have a movie theatre. I've redesigned the site in the hope that I've now answered more of those questions. I am currently in the process of updating the information to match the highly developed town Modi'in has now become.
